A few awards, such as the Don R. Boyd Medal for Excellence on Gulf Coast Geology and the Special Commendation Award (not listed), do not have a form. Please contact GCAGS for information.
All nominations should be accompanied with an approval letter of recommendation from the local geological society executive.
The GCAGS and AAPG encourage local societies to nominate their members for AAPG Awards. AAPG provides requirements and forms for their awards. The AAPG prefers that local society nominations be routed through the GCAGS Awards and Nominations Committee, who will get an approval from the GCAGS President.
